I am not the original subreddit owner, and I mostly came on board for designing the look of the subreddit (yeah we are behind on the times.). I don't have tutorials, nor do I have any interest. 90 of the entire game is coded in Python which is pretty much what caused the downfall of this project that led to development hell and lead to cancellation. Peria Chronicles Nexon confirms cancellation of ambitious MMORPG. I wanted to make this clear for anyone new still coming to this subreddit after seeing old Peria content and expecting to find information on the game. It might take some time to get a fully playable City of Heroes game online but this is the first step.Peria is dead. I removed the sticky announcing it as officially dead, cancelled, gone. We all know what they do to their games – look at Aion and Blade & Soul. Granted, it will of course be in private-server form but it won’t be run by NCSoft at least.
What this means is that City of Heroes – the superhero MMO we’ve all been craving to have back for years is finally on the brink of being playable once again. Focused on unbound interaction, Peria Chronicles features content creation, building and sharing, along with themes such as companion/pet collecting, party-based combat and storytelling.

Recently, the source code for City of Heroes was released unto the public – yes, the source code for the entire game, minus the mission files or NPCs. Peria Chronicles is an anime and JRPG-inspired sandbox MMORPG developed by South Korean developer Thingsoft and published by Nexon. Other superhero themed MMOs launched in an attempt to fill the hole that many players had after the closure of the server but none of them did. Since then, the community has stuck together and held strong, clinging to the hope that something might eventually be done about the game. It was an MMORPG published by NCSoft that was shut down many years ago in spite of it largely being a success. I’m sure many of you know what City of Heroes is. A project under subsidiary studio Thingsoft, Peria Chronicles most recently had a debut test phase in May for a small. This may potentially be the biggest MMORPG-related news in years.
